Ckrowd, Africa’s most popular and premium content streaming platform, today announced the appointment of renowned music and entertainment lawyer, Akinyemi Ayinoluwa, and music licensing consultant, Elle Erinle, to the Organization’s Advisory Board, effective Thursday, April 7, 2022.

Ms. Erinle and Mr. Ayinoluwa will both serve on Ckrowd’s board of directors and operate as venture partners.

The content creation industry in Africa and the Diaspora has become a globally recognized industry, however, Ckrowd understands that the main subjects of the creative industries, creators, must also benefit globally and locally. Thus, these nominations will contribute to a better understanding of how creators can effectively protect and monetize their creations.

Elle Erinle is a music professional specializing in music licensing with PRS for Music. She is currently a Lecturer in Music Copyright at the Notting Hill Academy of Music – founded by Relentless Records and founder of Laude London – where she provides label services including sync licensing, PR and A&R. . Additionally, she leads the music publishing team and is enthusiastic about educating artists on royalty branding and how to monetize their sounds beyond streams. His clients include many top Nigerian labels and artists.

On the other hand, Akinyemi Ayinoluwa is partner and co-founder of HighTower Solicitors and Advocates. His music law practice focuses on representing recording artists, songwriters, record producers, record labels, music investors and talent managers. It is often recommended as a lawyer who breathes, drinks and eats music.

Akinyemi’s past legal experience includes a partner at Wemimo Ogunde & Co and Awokoya & Co. Prior to qualifying as a lawyer, he was a songwriter, recording artist, composer and performer; he was the lead singer of the defunct boy band 100 Degrees.

He is the author of numerous articles in the field of music law, estate planning, commercial transactions and is regularly invited to give conferences and courses on these subjects. Akinyemi also functions as a business manager, as well as their attorney, when working on a number of clients.

Over the past few years, Akinyemi has built up a formidable list of successful Afrobeats producer clients: Masterkraft, Blaq Jerzee, Northboi, Rexxie, Magicsticks, Jaypizzle, Andre Vibes, Larry Lanes, Tuzi, Niphkeys and many more. He prides himself on helping his clients understand the value of their intellectual property rights and be aware of the exploitation that is rampant in the industry.

Akinyemi’s zeal and passion for education has also led him to design educational resources for record producers and beatmakers. There is a first installment called the ‘Secure bag program for record producers and beatmakers.
