“A Very Bonang Year” – the two-part special that chronicles an extraordinary 12 months in the life of one of South Africa’s biggest stars, Bonang Matheba – has seen over 2 million viewers on SABC1 watch part 2 on Saturday August 8.

The audience for “A Very Bonang Year” is equivalent to nearly 21% of the total South African audience and the highest of all the slot machine entertainment offerings this year, which also recorded a massive audience of 1.86 million for the first episode aired. Saturday August 1st.

Additionally, the hashtag #AVeryBonangYear reached an astonishing 2.2 billion impressions during the broadcast period, showing why the entrepreneur and philanthropist well deserved the nickname Queen B.

“Overall, we are happy with the performance of the show and it turns out to be a good business decision on our part. We are grateful to the viewers who connected and generated a lot of conversation capacity, ”says Sane Zondi of SABC 1.

The show is produced by Red Button Films in association with Celebrity Services Africa (CSA) and Bonang Matheba Entertainment.

In the show’s second episode, viewers saw the former “Top Billing” presenter return to the US to receive her E! Entertainment and attended a Wild Aid Gala with Hollywood star Djimon Hounsou.

In New York, she continues the apartment search and walks on the red carpet with Daily Show star Trevor Noah, then does an interview with Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy on America’s biggest radio show, “The Breakfast. Club ”.
